My journey started with renovating my own old home, then another, and eventually helping others transform their spaces. My passion for art, color, transformative spaces, and décor naturally evolved into Marisol Smith Interiors. It was a gradual process, with my experience in: communications, logistics, yoga, and publishing each contributing to the foundation of my business.
My design philosophy centers on blending old and new elements to create spaces that are both warm and functional. As a mother of young children who grew up in old homes, I find inspiration and purpose in the character of older houses (floor creaks!) and the freshness of new builds. I focus intently on how families, friends, and guests will experience the rooms we design; always keeping future gatherings and shared moments in mind. I am passionate about "the" details, sweat the small stuff, enjoy being creative, and have a love of textiles. I'm inspired by: nature, people’s stories, antiques, and all art mediums. Learning new things, connecting with others and having fun are all important to me. Ask me anything, I am an open book!

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

My love for art and design started as a young girl. Whether it was drawing, exploring nature or going to art museums, I found happiness in creating and experiencing art. I often visited construction sites with my dad, as he was a general contractor. I was able to get a glimpse of the construction process and see the attention to detail required to design a space. I followed my passion into college, where I studied interior design. I found the phycological effect of colors and nature through thoughtful design fascinating.
I enjoy getting to know my clients and creating spaces that cater to their specific needs through careful planning and attention to every detail. My love for the outdoors has given me an appreciation for sustainable design and designing a home that will last for you and your family.
